Naperville Crimestoppers needs information regarding a Hate Crime,an Illinois Bill could ban the use of Elephants in Circus Performances,and Illinois Lawmakers head back to Springfield with hops of passing a spending plan


An Illinois bill could ban the use of elephants in any circus performing in the state. The bill passed the house and senate and is now on Governor Bruce Rauner’s desk. The bill gained support from organizations like the United States Human Society.

Naperville Crimestoppers offer a reward for information leading to an arrest in a property damage/hate crime incident. Authorities say the sidewalk to the entrance of Schmaltz Delicatessen on North Naper Blvd. was defaced. The incident reportedly happened sometime between 1 PM and 3 PM on Wednesday of last week.

Illinois lawmakers head back to Springfield today for a special session with the intention of passing a spending plan. If a budget is not passed the state will face its third year without a plan. Illinois faces about $800 million in debt and late fees.
